North Norfolk has a tiny problem.

Well...millions of tiny problems. Because millions of people visit every year.

And that's brilliant. Seriously! We love visitors. They keep businesses busy. Support jobs. Fill our cafés. Buy our crab sandwiches. (Please keep buying the crab sandwiches.) But... someone has to empty the bins. Clean the loos. Maintain the car parks. Keep the beaches beautiful. Guess who pays for most of that? (Hint: it's probably reading this.)

Now, before anyone starts shouting “TOURIST TAX!”, relax. We're not introducing anything. We're asking something much smaller.

Should North Norfolk at least explore whether visitors could chip in a tiny amount towards looking after the place they came to enjoy?

That's it. No decisions. No hidden plan.

Just the conversation.

I support North Norfolk exploring ways for visitors to contribute directly to local services and community investment.
